The Logo
Elevated Mokorotlo
The Lesotho Nation Brand logo is more than just a modern visualisation of our national symbol; it embodies the essence of our culture, tradition, and attire. It was created from the iconic Mokorotlo Hat, making it a powerful representation of our heritage.
The elevated Mokorotlo depicted in the logo is not only a metaphor for our geographical location, it is a medley of the motifs found in our national resources. These include the land, the flora, fauna and the people.
The Nation Brand logo provides a unique perspective, offering a bird’s-eye-view of our nation, which captures the richness of the topography, culture, and history. It serves as a reminder that while we embrace our roots, we are always striving to reach new heights and being at the forefront of progress.

Katse Blue, Naha Brown, Maru Blue
Our brand colours were picked directly from our natural landscapes with each colour representing distinctive facets of our beautiful nation.
Our Katse Blue & Navy represent the abundant water that flows from the mountaintops into rivers and their tributaries, and right into the majestic dams in our highlands.
Our Maru Blue represents our elevation as The Kingdom in the Sky.
Our Naha brown & tan represent both our beautiful landscapes and mountains as well as our beautiful skin tones.
The Culture
Peace and harmony
Embracing a high-spirited outlook on life and a profound sense of community, we prioritise peace, harmony, and unity in all interactions. This commitment to unity echoes in both our professional and social practices. It is exemplified by the Basotho tradition of Letsema— the coming together to plough, sow and eventually harvest the land collectively as a community. We continue to embrace this common understanding when addressing challenges we face. With our warm and welcoming spirit, we hold peace above all else.
